To meet the more demanding customers and offer a first class shopping experience, seamlessly integrated between physical stores and online, the retail organization set out to build a cutting edge Omni Channel solution, also offering broader assortment to the customer and streamlining internal processes.
The Fenix Retail Program covered a completely new e-commerce platform, fully integrated PIM- and ERP systems in both Sweden and Finland, advanced EDI integrations to internal and external vendors, as well as the POS and sales tablet support in stores. I setup the entire program from scratch, established project structure and governing principles and managed the overall program in analysis, design and execution. The program consisted of four major system suppliers and several smaller parties, in all over 50 resources.
The Fenix Retail program has rolled-out uniform business processes, set IT standards, and migrated from legacy systems to a modern retail platform covering the entire value chain. It is a device independent shopping experience, in and out of stores, with better transparency of Fenix Outdoor assortment and information visibility as well as reduced shipping time to the end customer.
